

The House of Worship Medical Provider (HOW-MP) course prepares healthcare providers, EMTs, nurses, physicians, paramedics, and other qualified medical personnel to support medical operations in a houses of worship. Participants will learn how to anticipate, assess, and respond to medical and security-related incidents that may occur during worship services, special events, and community gatherings. Emphasis is placed on prehospital trauma care, coordinated response during violent incidents, triage operations, and maintaining personal and team resilience. The Schoolhouse Emergency Preparedness and Response to Disaster (ShEPRD) course provides educational professionals with a comprehensive overview of the threats and hazards facing modern educational institutions. Participants will examine current security concerns, the growing mental health crisis affecting students and staff, medical and traumatic emergencies, active violence incidents, natural disasters, fire emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and the realities of delayed emergency response resources. The course emphasizes preparedness, situational awareness, emergency decision-making, and resilience to help schools develop a safer learning environment and improve outcomes during critical incidents.

The House of Worship Responder (HOW-R) course prepares security volunteers, safety team members, ushers, greeters, and armed protectors to provide a safe and secure environment during worship services and special events. Participants will learn threat recognition, situational awareness, emergency response, active violence response, casualty management fundamentals, and resilience principles. The course is designed for individuals with little to no formal medical training and focuses on the integration of security operations with emergency medical response and law enforcement.
